Kimberley L. Walker, LMHC is a licensed mental health counselor who has 14 years of extensive counseling experience with adults, adolescents, children and families with a wide range of mental health issues. She worked in a residential facility for 6 years assisting our most severe mental health cases from multiple in-state and out-of-state contracts. She has treated a culturally and developmentally diverse population. She is specialized in addressing different degrees of trauma issues and in utilizing a wide variety of treatment modalities with a holistic approach and overall wellness focus, including hypnosis and play therapy.
She has written a children’s book on abandonment issues which is in the illustration process and is soon to be published. She is also in the process of developing and publishing workbooks for young adolescents and adolescent trauma clients. She contracts with the Montessori World School to assist with mental health education for the teachers and is a referral source for the students and parents. She subscribes to the American Counseling Association and is a nationally board certified counselor.
