Monica Hedrick, LCSW, BCBA is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Central Florida. Since 2003, Ms Hedrick has worked in the mental health field in a variety of settings and has extensive experience working with individuals and families dealing with dementia, terminal illness and developmental disorders. She continues to be inspired by the strength and resilience shown by people as they struggle to resolve difficult issues.
Ms Hedrick is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She is a member of the Mental Health Circuit Court Examination Committee, conducting Incapacity Examinations. She is also certified in Critical Incident Stress Management working with Employee Assistance Programs in Central Florida.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Ms Hedrick’s diverse experience allows her to counsel clients of many ethnic backgrounds and enables her to work successfully with individuals and families on a wide range of issues. She is able to assist clients struggling with the paralysis of anxiety, trauma and depressive disorders in order to help them “overcome the roadblocks to the life paths they desire.”
Ms Hedrick offers Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment, Behavioral Modification, and Short Term Counseling. Each patient has an individualized treatment plan created to meet his or her counseling needs. What Monica Hedrick finds most rewarding is to watch families come together and reconnect after a traumatic or difficult period in their lives. This includes clients in individual counseling that have rebuilt their lives in order to increase their life satisfaction.
In addition to Ms Hedrick’s professional success, she feels her greatest accomplishment is being a working mother and balancing a rewarding, successful career and a happy home life.
