Kathy Giangrande is a licensed mental health counselor who has 24 years of experience working in the mental health field, serving people with a variety of needs. She earned a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from the University of Central Florida and a Masters in Counseling and Psychology from Troy State University.
Her experience has spanned providing services for children, teens and adults. She has worked in settings including outpatient, residential, community outreach and schools. She is skilled in several treatment approaches to address individual and family needs, with a focus on developing new healthy thinking patterns and choices, improved relationship skills, and a renewed life perspective. Ms. Giangrande is able to provide Christian based approach for those who are interested.
Recognizing the significance of the therapeutic relationship, she employs an encouraging and supportive approach to promote positive life changes. She is experienced in treating individuals experiencing mood and anxiety problems. Her experience also includes work in the areas of addiction, survivors of domestic violence, and addressing behavior problems with children. Currently, her focus is treating teens and adults.
