Adil A Mohammed, MD is an internationally trained Psychiatrist committed to providing the highest standards of care for a wide variety of patients with diverse needs.
Dr. Mohammed completed his medical studies in Russia, having received his medical degree from Saint Petersburg State Medical Academy, Saint Petersburg, Russia. In 2009, Dr. Mohammed received a Master of Science in Psychotherapy and Counseling from The Global Institutes of Psychotherapy and Counseling, Kolkata, India. In 2010, Dr. Mohammed completed Preliminary Year Residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine Program, Bronx, New York. In 2013 he completed a Psychiatry Residency at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Mohammed has been involved in teaching of medical students having presented lectures to Junior Residents and Medical Students on subjects including “Emergency Psychiatry”, “Eating Disorders”, and “Antipsychotics”. He is currently working on a research project entitled “Mental Health and Substance Misuse of Older Adults in a Primary Care Setting”. He has presented several posters at the American Psychiatric Association annual convention and at the Colloquium of Scholars Philadelphia. He also received the Charles Shagass, MD award for his scholarly achievement during his residency training.
Dr. Mohammed is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and American Association of Psychiatric Administrators. His is also a member of the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Association and the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Leadership Council.
Dr. Mohammed credits his strong clinical judgment to his diverse clinical experience and his excellent clinical training. He strives to balance a professional bedside manner with a compassionate, empathetic approach in a patient/family focused environment.
When not engaged in the practice of Psychiatry, Dr. Mohammed enjoys listening to music, swimming, yoga, meditation, and travel.
